How does Duel's live betting work?

Live betting at Duel uses real-time odds feeds across all major sports. Odds update every few seconds based on game state. You can place bets at the current displayed odds until that market closes (typically just before a key game event, e.g., a corner kick or possession change).

Live markets are typically narrower than pre-match markets. Standard live markets include moneyline (match winner), totals (over/under goals), spreads (handicap), next-to-score, and time-based outcomes (next-goal, next-corner).

Cash-out feature

Cash-out lets you settle an in-play bet before the event ends, locking in partial profit or limiting loss. Available on most single-event live bets at Duel. Limited or unavailable on multi-leg parlays.

Cash-out value updates in real-time based on remaining game probability. Example: a $50 pre-match bet on Team A at +100 odds, currently leading 1-0 with 20 minutes left, might offer cash-out at $75 (lock in $25 profit) instead of risking the full $50 stake on holding the lead.

Streaming integration

Duel does not broadcast event streams natively. For most matches, you need a separate viewing source (official broadcast, Twitch for esports, etc.). Some major football matches have integrated stream widgets, but this is limited coverage compared to dedicated sportsbooks like Pinnacle or Bet365.

For CS2 in-play, the dominant viewing source is Twitch tournament streams. Duel does link to relevant streams but does not embed them in most cases.

Margin and odds quality

Live margins at Duel are 5–8% on top events, comparable to other crypto-sportsbooks (Stake 4–6%, BC.Game 5–7%) but worse than dedicated sportsbooks (Pinnacle 2–3%, Bet365 3–5%).

For casual live betting, Duel's odds are acceptable. For value-hunting or arbitrage, look elsewhere.

Live betting latency

Our test latency from event happening to odds updating: typically 2–5 seconds for football, 5–10 seconds for CS2. Latency varies by sport and the operator's feed source.

Important: do not chase outcomes you have already seen happen but odds have not updated yet. Operator-side fraud-detection systems flag these patterns and bets may be voided.

Limits on live bets

Maximum stake on live bets varies by sport, league, and event. Major football matches typically allow up to $1,000 per bet pre-match, dropping to $200–500 in-play as game state advances. Niche markets and minor leagues have lower limits.

If you bet successfully at high frequency, expect limit reductions on your account.
