What is rakeback?

Rakeback is the share of your losses that the casino returns to you. At Duel.com it is paid as real, withdrawable cash, not bonus credits, not site tokens, not promotional balance. There is no wagering requirement and no expiry.

This makes Duel structurally different from welcome-bonus operators. A 200% welcome match might look more generous on paper, but it pays in bonus balance that must be wagered 30–40× before becoming withdrawable, and most players never clear that condition. Rakeback skips the trap entirely.

The three rakeback rates at Duel.com

Rakeback is segmented by game category:

50%
Slot losses

Applies to every third-party slot in the catalog. Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City, Hacksaw, Relax, NetEnt, Play'n GO, all eligible.

80%
Duel Blackjack

Highest rate in the product. Offsets the 0.5% house edge to effectively zero with optimal strategy.

5%
Originals (Crash, Dice, Plinko, Mines)

Sweetener on top of the already 100% RTP Originals. Effectively makes Originals slightly +EV.

Worked example, slots

You play a Pragmatic Play slot with published 96.5% RTP. The house's theoretical take is 3.5% of every dollar wagered.

Lifetime wagered on slots: $10,000
          House's theoretical take: $350 (3.5% of $10,000)
          Duel rakeback rate: 50%
Cash refunded to your balance: $175

Effective RTP after rakeback: 98.25%. This is among the lowest effective house edges in the entire online casino industry, and unlike welcome bonuses, it scales linearly with how much you play.

Worked example, Duel Blackjack

Duel Blackjack runs with a stated 0.5% house edge (standard rules: dealer hits soft 17, blackjack pays 3:2, double after split allowed). With optimal basic strategy this is the lowest-edge game in the catalog before rakeback.

Lifetime wagered on Duel Blackjack: $10,000
          House's theoretical take: $50 (0.5% of $10,000)
          Duel rakeback rate: 80%
Cash refunded to your balance: $40

Effective RTP after rakeback: 99.9%. In practical terms, Duel Blackjack with rakeback is functionally a zero-edge game. There is no online table-blackjack product anywhere with a better mathematical proposition.

Worked example, Originals

Originals already run at 100% RTP, Duel keeps zero house edge by design. The 5% rakeback applies to losing rounds only and adds modest positive EV over time.

Lifetime wagered on Originals: $10,000
Expected net (at 100% RTP): $0
Cumulative losses from variance: $400 (example one-month sample)
Rakeback on those losses: $20 (5% of $400)
          Net after rakeback: +$20

You will not get rich on Originals rakeback. The point is that combined with 100% RTP, Originals are the only crypto-casino product with a mathematically positive expected return under casual play.

Common questions about Duel rakeback

FAQ

Is rakeback paid even if I win overall?

Rakeback is paid on every losing wager, gross, not net. Even a winning session generates rakeback on individual losing spins or rounds. You can be net-positive and still earn rakeback.

Does the rakeback rate ever increase with VIP status?

No. Duel does not run a tiered VIP scheme. The 50% / 80% / 5% rates apply from day one and never change based on volume.

Can I lose rakeback if I close my account?

Yes. Unclaimed rakeback in the ledger is forfeited on account closure. Always claim before deactivating.

Does rakeback count toward leaderboard / tournament progress?

The rakeback claim itself does not, but the wagers that generated it do. Rakeback and tournament progress stack on the same plays.

Is there a maximum rakeback per day or month?

No published cap. We have not found a public source confirming any limit, and our test session at >$2,000 daily wager accrued without throttling.
